Spanish phenom Carlos Alcaraz is used to thrilling crowds – usually with a racket when a a ball is involved, just not this time. 

During his quarterfinal match vs. Alexander Zverev, Alcaraz started to spin and juggle his racket in a mesmerizing sequence as he waited for the German to return from a medical timeout.

So much so, the US Open’s official X (formerly Twitter) account posted the clip alongside a caption; ‘the man can do it all.’

X users were awestruck by Alcaraz’s party trick – what is ultimately part of usual repertoire

The party trick is something of an Alcaraz specialty and while it may have a previously unseen moment for casual fans, it is something he has done often throughout his burgeoning career. 

As one may expect, there were a multitude of reactions in awe of the sublime Spaniard. 

‘I juggle my racket just like that in my dreams,’ ESPN Ocho analyst Pepper Brooks tweeted. 

‘If I practiced for 100 years I still couldn’t do this,’ one user wrote. While another added; ‘I believe he could play tennis with his eyes closed.’ 

Alcaraz pushed aside Zverev 6-3, 6-2, 6-4 and moved a step closer to becoming the first man to win consecutive titles at Flushing Meadows since Roger Federer collected five in a row from 2004-08. 

With the win in the late hours of Wednesday, the 20-year-old improved to 24-1 in his past four major tournaments.

After the championship in New York 12 months ago, he sat out the Australian Open with a leg injury, made it to the semifinals of the French Open before cramping up in a loss to Novak Djokovic, and added the Wimbledon trophy by beating Djokovic in the final, before the run over these two weeks. 

Alcaraz faces No. 3 seed Daniil Medvedev in the semifinal Friday, kraken8.at the winner will play the victor of Djokovic-Ben Shelton, who play on the same day.
